The "Family Story"

The "Family Story" is that the Arneys originated in England. Fought in of the civil wars, 1642 to 1660, on the losing side, and immigrated to France to avoid the consequences. From France my ancestors immigrated to New France, id. French Canada between 1755 and 1760, to fight the English in the 'New World'. Fighting in the 'French and Indians Wars', 1754-1760, my ancestors were on on the wrong side again - the 'English', id. American Colonists, won that battle also. George Washington and the "founding fathers" names were curses until they too decided the to fight the English in rebellion. The British Taxes levied to pay for the French and Indian War, and the Seven Years War, 1755-1763, in general, lead to the American Revolution:
He has excited domestic Insurrections amongst us, and has endeavored to bring on the Inhabitants of our Frontiers, the merciless Indian Savages, whose known Rule of Warfare, is an undistinguished Destruction, of all Ages, Sexes and Conditions.
- Declaration of Independence July 4, 1776
After the American Revolution, my ancestors stayed in the area that became the State of Ohio, formerly French America - see Europen Settlements and Indian Tribes, 1750.
The "Family Story" goes on to say that John Henry's, John Henry Arney 1805 - 1876, brothers went to California and returned in the 1830s with enough gold to start a foundry. The foundry made narrow-gauge trains used in logging. My uncle, Richard David Arney, claims to have seen these trains. The foundry went bankrupt in the depression of 1893. No Concrete documentation of the above exists that I'm aware of at this time.
